Dr. Elizabeth Nesmith
Dr. Elizabeth Nesmith was born and raised in northern Michigan. She completed her undergraduate studies at University of Michigan, and then a masters and D.M.D. at MWU-CDMA in Arizona. A top-ten graduate of her class, Dr. Nesmith received the Golden Hands Award, and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) dental honor society. She returned to the Midwest for her specialty training and an M.S. in periodontics from Ohio State University (don't worry, she still cheers for Michigan football on Saturdays!) Dr. Nesmith served as a clinical instructor of periodontics at Ohio State University, where she received the SGA Resident Teaching Award for her clinical instruction of dental students.Dr. Nesmith is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. A Diplomate is a periodontist who has made significant achievements beyond the mandatory educational requirements of the specialty, and is committed to providing the highest evidence-based standard of care for their patients. She is also board certified by the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Nesmith continues to engage in extensive continuing education, with emphasis in periodontology, dental implants, and digital treatment planning/ incorporation of new dental technologies into practice. In her free time, Dr. Nesmith enjoys spending time with her husband and their three young sons, as well as gardening and time outdoors.Dr. Nesmith is active in the following professional organizations:
